Have we become greedy, materialistic, unhealthier and unfulfilled, at least in comparison to previous generations? The author attempts to explain that there is a strong correlation between a modern working life, depression, deterioration in health and general unhappiness. Near all religions and Greek philosophers teach that a simpler way of life is the key to happiness, but despite of thousands of years of knowledge on the subject and solid research, we still seem to be moving away from what we desire the most.
