Bag om The Curse Of Darius
This is the second in a series of historical novels offered to teach ancient history and culture with intrigue and suspense. It takes place primarily in present-day Iran, but relates to the times of Darius the Great, Emperor of the Medo-Persian Empire, 521-486 BCE. It involves several of the same characters in the earlier novel, "The Keys of Electrum," that is based in the Akhenaten period of ancient Egypt and provides information concerning the ancient Egyptian obelisks. In the present work, a secret archeological expedition is launched into Western Iran to discover artifacts left by Darius that could affect the present world order power structure. With thrilling suspense the characters take you on a journey filled with insights into modern Iranian and Kurdish culture and through multiple perils along the way. Although it is a work of fiction, it is based on historical facts and data and provides a meaningful learning experience.
