Bag om The Dynamics of Language and Exegesis at Qumran
The authors in this volume address a series of issues raised by the discovery and publication of the Dead Sea Scrolls, centered around the Hebrew Bible and its interpretations in the Dead Sea Scrolls and related ancient Jewish compositions. Among others, the problem of the Hebrew Bible process of canonization is discussed, the relationship between the biblical text and the works which rewrite the Bible found among the scrolls, and the links between the innerbiblical interpretation and later exegesis found in the scrolls and related texts. Some contributions examine the setting of the biblical interpretation of the scrolls, and others deal with the exegesis of the Qumranic Pesharim and the particular interpretation of the biblical prophets. Some of the articles analyze the Book of Tobit in the light of Qumran texts. With contributions by:Moshe Bar Asher, George Brooke, Devorah Dimant, Ariel Feldma, Liora Goldman, Jan Joosten, Reinhard G.
