In the country of Arria, Lord Kotak plots to usurp the throne. Miles away in the desert, Basha and his wife Monika survive a bandit raid on Monika's tribe, but they have lost the grail, Tau's Cup. To avenge those who died and take back the Cup, they must find the grail again with the help of new and old friends. But Basha does not know what links him to Kotak.
