The Living Link

De Mille (1833-80) was a professor of English and rhetoric at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia and a Canadian writer of numerous works of popular fiction from the late 1860s, through the 1870s, until his untimely death aged 46. This novel was first published in 1874.
