Thomas Carrington is from one of the wealthiest families in the Rio Grande Valley, unmarried, and devastatingly handsome. Katie Ellis, a nurse in San Antonio, lost both her parents in the hurricane that hit Galveston in 1900. During a visit to the Carrington Ranch, she becomes uncomfortable and hurriedly returns to San Antonio. Can she get over her discomfort and accept the love of Thomas?
