The Open Pill Box is a novel about a gay bipolar man's search for security and stability as he faces numerous challenges. Unable to care for his aging mother, Johnny seeks the help of his estranged lover, Matt, to buy the pills he needs; but he is also drawn to Andy and the Roman Catholic faith as a potential source of salvation.
