"The Power of Pain: The Search Engine to the Soul" - During 30 years of private practice as a psychotherapist, it became clear that many people misunderstood pain for a bad thing rather than as a driving force to personal growth and redemption. As a society we are taught to medicate uncomfortable feelings with activities, alcohol, pills and any other distractions that will keep us away from unpleasant feelings. When these fail we become addicted and sometimes even suicidal.
