Voltaire, Heine, John Keats, and Joseph Conrad

This book describes the contributions made to the fiction of Joseph Conrad from the writings of Voltaire, Heinrich Heine, and John Keats. Special emphasis is made on Conrad's Nostromo showing that Conrad used their ideas, as well as some of his own, to weave a complex image combining the history of astronomy, literature, and philosophy.
