Dr Solomon Muqayi was born in Chimanimani, Zimbabwe on the 17th of November 1984. Solomon did Primary, Secondary and High school education at Ndima Primary School, Ndima Secondary School and Mount Selinda High School respectively. Solomon was awarded a BSc Honours Degree in Public Administration, Masters in International Relations and PhD in International Relations Degrees by the University of Zimbabwe. Solomon also holds several certificates such as Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (University of Zimbabwe), Research Methodology Training (RMT) Certificate (the certificate was awarded by OSSREA) and Gender Mainstreaming Certificate (the certificate was awarded by OSSREA in Nairobi, Kenya) Solomon was a Teaching Assistant with the University of Zimbabwe in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies from 2011 to 2014 and was appointed a Lecturer in 2016. In 2017, Solomon was promoted to Senior Lectureship position. Solomon is also an Organising Secretary for the Organisation for Social Science Research in the Eastern and Southern Africa (OSSREA), a position which he assumed in 2011. Solomon¿s areas of specialisation is International Relations.
